Phylicia Barnes went missing three days after Christmas of 2010, only to be found murdered in a Hartford County river this April. Nothing but mystery has surrounded the disappearance and murder of the 16-year old Phylicia Barnes, but today's update comes as one that nobody ever wanted to hear.
Police have reason to believe the 16-year old was the victim of child pornography. However, sources aren't releasing very many details related to this new development in the case. Investigators are allegedly checking out warrants that they truly feel will lead them to some sort of child porn evidence of the slain, Phylicia Barnes. In fact, this is so big that a huge child porn ring is being investigated in connection to the young girl's murder.
The FBI is involved with this investigation and are seeking access to the Facebook accounts of the young girl and at least four adult men. Could these individuals be using Facebook as a means to organize child porn and exploitation for their business and sick pleasures? If so, Phylicia Barnes may have fallen victim to the whims of these monsters and the FBI, as well as other investigators, are hot on their trails.
Investigators still haven't released the cause of Barnes' death because they feel that it will compromise the efficiency of this investigation. This must be something huge because it's not every day that you see the FBI jump in and take control of what isseemingl your run-of-the-mill murder of a young girl. There must have been some damning evidence to tie this 16-year old youth to some very shady, sick men.
If it turns out that this young girl was a part of a child sex ring, then hopefully cold justice is serve swiftly to the people responsible. There is no telling how many young girls are forced into sex trafficking and exploitation in the United States. It's probably safe to assume that many of the young children and girls who are abducted in the US and throughout the world are probably in some fashion part of child sex exploitation.
